What to expect
We walk the house and map the lines before we start, then work out where the openings have to be. Every opening is marked with you before we make it, and the floors are covered while we work. Most homes keep water to part of the house throughout the job.
Polybutylene is the gray pipe common in homes built in the late 1980s and 1990s, and it fails without warning. Some insurers ask about it, and replacing it before it fails is the cheaper way. If yours does, we'll confirm what you have and give you a written price to replace it. Most homes are repiped in a few days, and we walk the house with you at the end to check every fixture.

How long will the water be off?
Usually a few hours at a time, not days. Most repiping jobs keep water running to part of the house each day, and we give you the plan before we start.
PEX or copper?
Both are good, and for most homes we recommend PEX because it needs fewer wall openings and handles freezing better. Copper is the traditional choice and still a fine one. We explain the trade-offs for your house.
Do you patch the walls?
No. We open only what the work needs and leave the openings clean and ready for a drywall finisher. Sheetrock finishing is a separate trade.
