Plumbing in Milton

Milton became a city in 2006 and kept its acreage zoning, so it stayed rural where the rest of north Fulton did not: bigger houses, longer driveways, and a lot of properties that are not on a sewer line at all. That changes what goes wrong and who you should be calling when it does.

What is common in Milton houses

Septic rather than sewer. The city says plainly that it does not run a water or sewer system, and that a Milton household with no sewer bill is probably on a septic system. We handle everything on the house side of that tank: the drain lines under the house, the main line out to it, fixtures and water heaters. Private water on some properties. Where a house is not on county water it is on its own supply, which means a pressure tank, harder water and more wear on fixtures and water heaters.
